New Software Functionality in CMS ver 4.1

The CMS version 4.1 the release in Apr - 2014 shall have the following features.

Application

  1. Changes in Manual Data Entry

    In current form Sign on and sign off time were mandatory, Now signon/departure and sign off/arrival and departure is mandatory.In a run if sign off time is not filled then sign on time of next run will mandatorily not filled and arrival of that run to departure of next run will be treated as Detention duty type and it comes with service type of the following run. Changes in Crew Movement Detail Entry-
    1. Sign on Time in First run is mandatory and non editable.
    2. Sign off Time in last run is mandatory.
    3. If Sign Off time in preovious run is not available user can't fill sign On time for current run but departure time is mandatory in this case.
  2. Special check at the time of sign off

    Facility to enter two question to be answered by driver only at the time of sign OFF from drop down menu (also in manual, under development) Question to be enetered by CRIS as per instruction from Railway Board / Zonal Railway Question to be applicable to all / one or more than one lobby (llobby at which crew signs off) Question to be valid for predefined period End date of period can be changed before expiry of that period Sign OFF to be complete only if questtion answered from drop down menu If no qustion is available then no pop up on sign OFF screen / manual entry Exception: Duty Type LR, Spare
  3. Shunt count

    In manual crew entry form shunting detail to be filled with station and duration of shunting. TNC will enter each shunting detail one by one by adding the next row of shunt count. Each row will give ine count.
  4. Alert for crew sign > 24 hrs but not sign off

    Alert to be shown for crew sign on > 24 hrs (for freight crew only) on the screen at the time
    • User logs into the system
    • On reports page after a lobby is selected
  5. Restrict SIGNOFF from KIOSK to coal pilot or working is coal pilot

  6. Old CMS Route modification

    • Modification to be done for old CMS routes to be shown in 5 others Lobbies other than HQ.
    • RBS route entries will come directly in CMS route screen and the user (i.e. C3) will directly save them in CMS route tables after making modification.
  7. Inactive route not to be displayed

    Modification of Display route form. A check box added for deletion along with inactive for routes not required to be displayed.
  8. Night duty hrs in crew availibility list

    Night duty hrs also be displayed in Crew Availibility list of crew booking form
    • Progressive Hrs
    • Night Duty Hrs (in a fortnight)
    • Rest Hrs
  9. Loco no mandatory

    Loco no to be mandatorily entered at the time of sign OFF for loco pilot only. Exception: Duty Type LR, Spare
  10. LR logic - Configurable from Application

    SR 4.20/2 states that 3 round trips to be given to LPs and ALPs to new entrants /over due for more than 2 year. Lobbies of a Division can be configured for option of Mandatory Night trip and Non Mandatory Night trip. For eg:- Option -1 3 ( Day Trip) 0(Night Trip) Option -2 2 ( Day Trip) 1(Night Trip)
  11. Temp transfer time

    Presently crew is transferred from the current time of temp transfer Temp transfer to be allowed from any time (edit transfer time) after the last sign off time till crew is in rest Similarly accepting lobby can accept any time from transfer time to current time. Accepting time will be treated as final time. Till acceptance time crew id will remain as old id thogh crew is inactive.
  12. Tooltip added in PAD form

    In PAD form on mousemove on ta no or to station details of related crew display like crewid,name and designation.
  13. Name display in Shunter on Periodic rest

    Name field added in shunter on periodic rest form
  14. Circular history to go along with ID in transfer case:

    Currently Test and Training, Family detail, Blood group etc. go with crew ID to new transferred lobby. Requirement of circular history to go along with other details, if crew is transferred within division, crew shall not read circulars again.
  15. Caution order date of feeding to be displayed

    Date of impostion is captured in Cation order form likewise date of feeding to be displayed in the form.
  16. PF No.

    PF No. in present system is not mandatory. Now PF no.made mandatory for all new biodata to be created. In case of no PF ""NA"" has to be entered.
  17. Abnormality SMS

    At Present
    1. SMS TO SUPERVISOR -
      Changes in abnormality msg(Kiosk)
      format.Supervisor will get msg with 'ADL Text' or 'No ADL Text'.
      Complete description will not be sent in msg.Size will be limited to 156 character max.
      Format: crewId+"",""+time+"",""+type+"",""+abnormiltyType+"",""+km+"" KM,""+additionalText+"",""+abnormalityID
    2. SMS to CREW -
      Crew will get SMS for abnormality feedback with Abnormality ID with Remarks. SMS will not contain the full description of the original reported abnormality

  18. Caution view facility to include detail of other div on route

    Divisional authority feed caution order between two adjacent stations for the section where caution is to be observed. Caution order is displayed for the route selected. Presently all sections / stations of the division on the selected route are picked up for display. The facility is to be extended for displaying all stations falling on the route, irrespective of divisions. Same can be printed to issue to running staff, if required. However caution order is issued to running staff under the signature of ASM. ASM's are also generating caution order from other systems. Necessary checks for authority and duplicity may be introduced. It is proposed to permit the same form for supervisor console.
  19. min guranteed for continuous duty

    Lobby can be configured from CRIS for following options
    Option 1: contiuous duty applicable for all including min gurantee
    Option 2: contiuous duty NOT applicable for min gurantee
  20. Rest Modifiation

    If a sanctioned rest is modified related changes shall be made into the mileage data also.

  1. Management - Mandatory Question

  4. All Reports should be seen after login

    A new user ""Create Report User"" will be provided at divisional console Maximum 10 users can be created per Division. This is mandatory for viewing CMS report on Internet Report: User id authentication At lobby existing users will be permitted to log in for reports Web reports Access will be through user id All existing lobby user ids will be valid"
  5. Circular history to go along with ID in transfer case:

    In Reports the circulars read /unread to be shown according to the mapping from old Crew Id.
  6. Caution order date of feeding to be displayed

    New report is required which will show the complete detail filled in divisional console along with this new column of date of feeding and user name who amended caution with time."
  7. Caution view facility to include detail of other div on route

    Presently all sections / stations of the division on the selected route are picked up for display. The facility is to be extended for displaying all stations falling on the route, irrespective of divisions.
  8. E mail facility to be linked with abnormality reporting:

    CMS has a facility of sending SMS to concerned officials configured through CC authority if crew reports abnormality through application. Likewise sending email once/twice a day to concerned official is proposed as under:
    1. A new modified form in configuration console will have additional 2/3 new column in which user can enter email Id's of concerned official whom they want to see the abnormality fed in CMS.
    2. This email will be sent to all configured official once/twice a day."
  9. Management - Crew Not Return to HQ


    In Crew Accountal / Crew Not Return to HQ report
    hyper link to be provided to get the current details of the crew i.e.,
    1. if the crew status is Sign ON/OFF, drill down report to show the Date, Train No, Loco No, Sign On time, Sign OFF time, From Station, To Station etc.,
    2. If the crew status is in rest at HQ / OS their last working particulars are to be shown.
    3. if the crew status is in Casuality, from date and to date.
  10. Report header on each page

    Field heading of reports will be repeated on each page
  11. Management - Working hrs


    1. Report will show one row each for each section (SECTION MEANS SIGN ON LOBBY TO SIGN OFF LOBBY )
    2. Drill down on section will show the report route wise for that section
    3. It is also proposed to give a radio button for selecting the report traction wise = Electric/3Ph/DC/DCAC = Diesel/MG/NG = All
    4. Column for Wheel Movement (WM, Dep data from PDD form) to Wheel stop (WS, Arr data from PAD form) to be added,
    5. order of preference User data followed by FOIS data
    6. Report will show data only if user fill the necessary data

    Presently if crew is not getting PR in last 7 days (including non run days) he is shown in PR due report
    Changes: 7 days shall not include non run, in such case 7 days will be counted from the day crew is back from non run. Crew will also appear in PR due report till completion of PR (as PR can be cancelled) Proposal: Once PR starts report will show 'in PR'. On completion of PR name will not appear in the list even if crew is in rest (presently his name is removed only after he is booked after PR)"
  17. Management - Delay in manual entry


    A new report for delay in Feeding of Manual data entry from sign off time
    Time of manual data entry is more than 12 hrs from sign off time of last run

    2. Will be removed in PR report (if Cancelled rest type was PR)."

    LIs module needs modification.
    Review of gradation done previously and present should be reflected in report instead of only last review done. Gradation wise, last monitoring date wise, period wise monitoring report of LIs may be provided.
