New Software Functionality in CMS ver 3.9.0

The CMS version 3.9.0, the release in Oct - 2012 shall have the following features.

    Application
  1. OSRA without temporary transfer

    For crew not in temp transfer, In case of manual entry option given to select mileage with OSRA. If the option is selected OSRA will be added for each calendar day in the manual entry irrespective of DURATION and TYPE of duty at out station. This option is disabled for crew under temp transfer.
  2. Option to enter loco no. and loco type when served call to running staff from mail/exp/pass link in CMS system.

    A new field for entering loco no provided on the call serve form. Existing field of traction changed to loco type. When TNC accept for call serve, loco competency of that crew will be checked against loco type, if OK call will be served, if NOT OK , TNC will be required to add reason and then call will be served. Same will be reflected in call serve print out
  3. ALP with shunter (For Kurla)

    ALP is required to be booked with shunter but no officiating allowance to be given. At the time of TA creation no or crew required can be made 2 if both are required to be booked through one TA only At the time of linking crew on TA there will be an additional option for ALP without off Selecting this option will display all ALP irrespective of off status and is booked will not get off allowance (This will be similar as if Sr ALP is selected)
  4. Facility to change TO station sequence at sign OFF

    In case of circular / round / special routes with more than one occurrence for any single station option to choose the correct sequence of TO station is available at the time of creation of TA. Same has been provided to the crew at the time of sign OFF and in manual data entry. At present crew is asked if he want to change the route for the station at which he is signing OFF. Now an additional option " if you want to change the station sequence " is given provided selected route has multiple appearance of sign OFF station. If crew say yes to the station sequence change option he will be displayed the stations of the route along with sequence no (similar to TA creation)., crew then can change the sequence. Crew will not be allowed to select any station of the route other than station he is signing OFF. If crew has selected diff route (as per the existing option) and same happens to have multiple entry for the sign OFF station, above procedure will be followed for the new route.
  5. Rule violation check at the time of call serve

    Compliance of fetch crew as per rule to be rechecked at the time of call serve (in addition to check at the time of linking) for coaching and shunting In coaching and shunting, crew is attached to a link / roster by fetching them either as per rule or without rule. It is possible that a crew which was attached as per rule may not follow the rule on a later day. TNC will be given an alert at the time of call serve for the crew already attached / linked if it does not comply all the requirement of crew booked as per rule. TNC will be required to give reason if he wants to serve the call despite the alert.
  6. LI counseling dates are getting updated only when fed at their respective HQrs and, for every monitoring of Loco Pilots, gradation is being enquired which is not required

    In the existing application LI are identified on the basis of lobby code and their ID’s are made with the attached lobby code LI’s are now defined on the Division. As LI creation link will be on the Division Console not on the supervisor console of the lobby On KIOSK console system will have different panel for the login of LI as it will contain only LI division, LI id and password while in previous system had same panel for LI and Crew. PERIODICITY OF CONSELLING AND GRADING TO BE CONFIGURED THROGH DIVISIONAL CONSOLE ISTEAD OF LOBBY CONFIGURATION CONSOLE
  7. Transfer crew monitoring and grading on temp tranfer

    In case of temp transfer Data associated with LI grading and monitoring will be transferred to new Id
  8. Energy meter reading

    Crew to provide energy consumption / diesel consumption at the time of sign OFF / manual. Field added Reading (FROM) Reading (TO) Unit to be displayed Electric Traction KwH Diesel Traction Ltrs
  9. Trip count for Rajdhani and High speed trains

    Duty type = working (duty type High speed removed) Service type = Rajdhani / High speed (new service type "High Speed" added) Trip count = 1 (All provisions of Rajdhani will apply to High speed)
  10. Option for book on same TA

    Once crew goes to system late option for "book on same TA" given in system non run form of supervisor log in. This option can be excercised upto 8 hrs from train ordering time as per TA. Crew has to sign ON after this. No call serve will be there for such cases (It is assumed that crew is informed by supervisor while being booked on same TA from system non run)
  11. Return time for leave

    For leave cases (Group 10) fixed times to be followed TO time = 00:00 Return time = 23:59
  12. Drafted Loco pilot

    New status in Bio data ( through drop down in inactive) Mileage generated @ 120 km per day for all days till status changed back again
  13. Service type

    A new service type added Shunting Van 0 to 60 km, mileage = TWO Times 60 and above, mileage = THREE times
  14. highlight crew nomimated for non run at the time of crew booking

    Crew which has been nominated to go in non run from next calender date on the date of booking will be displayed in different colour in the list of available crew. Reason and date of non run is also displayed in the crew id alert (available on click of crew id on booking page) Rule violation - if all the superceeded crews are going to non run from next calender date, rule violation will not apply
  15. No of manual data entry run

    No of run which can be entered increased to 200 from 26
  16. MACP

    Basic pay is now user editable
  17. Check for REFE and REFD

    Fetch crew by Rule , Following not to be checked, Service Type NO check for MEMU REFE, DMU REFD
  18. Cancel Multi Non Run

    If a non run has not started, or if the crew has not been brought out of non run, all non runs can be cancelled in one go, Intermediate non run can be cancelled by deleting the row from bottom (last non run). Fresh entry required beyond the row deleted
  19. Fixed mileage route

    In manaual data entry, There shall be a single run for fixed mileage route. This means intermediate runs in fixed mileage route is not permitted. FROM and TO stations for fixed mileage route will be strictly as defined in the route. Same logic will be applicable for TA as well as Coaching links in case of fix mileage route.
  20. Regularisation of System Non Run

    System non run crew can be regularised as 1 Regularisation to rest and book on same TA, directly from system non run page, multiple crew can be regularised in one go 2 Regularisation to leave, flow directed to non run page, one crew at a time
  21. Additional information in Bio Data

    Three new group (in addition to award and punishment) added 1 Family (Name, Relation, DOB, M/F, marital staus, Remarks) 2 Promotion History (Designation, Source*, date of promotion, grade pay, User km#, CMS Footplate km, Remarks) 3 Accident detail (Date, time, Nature, Remarks)  New field for identification mark also added #New field (user km) for Credit for already completed foot plate km has been added in biodata In addition to foot plate km generated through system. Supervisor can update this field once for every grade. In the crew personal detail seen on kiosk footplate km = user km (filled by supervisor) + CMS footplate km *Source : Departmental, RRB, TRF, Promotion
  22. Storing CMS User Information

    Currently the user activity (insert update) is not captured in biodata eg which user has done what changes in the crew biodata. Now provision made so that User activity on Crew Biodata will be recorded (insert,update). In the first phase all activity related to crew bio mst will be covered and then all other activity that are linked to crew biodata other than crew bio mst will be recorded.   23. Accident Allowance check

    Curently Accident Allowance can be claimed by crew at the time of sign off. Now this facility will be withdrawn and only supervisor can give the accident allowance at the time of sing off. in case supervisor claims the run to be eligible for accident allowance he will be given an alert for it.
  24. Fixed Lobby option

    Option to configure lobby for following from CRIS as per written request through CAO/FOIS Already done 1 Select mileage option for minimum guarantee section such that min guarantee section actual km = a spare / (shunting delhi area only) mileage = b mileage to be given for option, option 1, option 2, a+b > 120, a + b, 120 + b a+b < 120, 120, 120 + b Default: Option 1 (Valid for NGP) 2 Due date for Automatic signal competency Option 1: 6 months Option 2: 1 year Default: Option 1 3 Select period for treating a duty as continuous duty in case of minimum guarantee section.   25. Delhi Area Mileage for min guarantee section

    Select mileage option for minimum gurantee section such that min gurantee section acual km = a spare / shunting mileage = b 120 if a+b < 80 for both the cases mileage to be given for a+b > 80 and < 160, mileage given 160 for a+b > 160, mileage given a + b
  26. Transfer acceptance form

    Transfer acceptance form will display mode of transfer TT/Permanent and date of transfer as filled in biodata at the time of transfer.
  27. Display circular in pdf / jpeg

    Facilty to feed and display circular in pdf format provided
  28. LI monitoring remarks

    Presently LI enters only date of monitoring and grade New field provided for entering remarks along with date of monitoring. Same can be viewed by crew during sign ON and sign OFF
  29. Grading on promotion

    Grading to be made C as default on promotion to LPG, for rest all cases existng grading to be continued in the promoted grade also
  30. Coal pilot working between two working in min gurantee section

    Run 1: A – B min guarantee Run 2: B – Coal pilot working Run 3: B – A min guarantee Mileage calculation shall be done treating all three run as working Mileage = 120 only for Run 1 and Run 3 + Coal pilot mileage
  31. Modify coal pilot

    Additional field for “hourly rate” added in coal pilot configuration screen Mileage to be paid Sign ON to Sign OFF < Hrs permitted: Configured Km with cofigured bonus Sign ON to Sign OFF >Hrs permitted: Opt 1: @Hourly rate max 200 km for the entire journey sign on to sign off (in case hourly rate has been configured in coal pilot configuration) Opt 2: Configured Km only (without bonus), (In all cases where hourly rate has not been defined in coal pilot configuration)
  32. LR stations for division

    Each division to specify the LR stations. This master will be used for creation of routes and indicating LR sections of the route. When a route is created all the stations of the route will be mapped to LR stations master and LR section will be two adjacent LR stations on that route. Initially all lobby points have been made LR stations. New LR stations can be added/deleted from Division console All existing routes have been mapped to New LR master Report for any combination of adjacent LR section to be available
  33. Night duty in continuous duty

    In case of continuous duty the rest hrs between two runs are not getting added in the Night duty hrs even if these hrs are between 2200 hrs to 06 hrs
  34. LI for ALP

    Facility to attach LI to ALP provided
  35. Non Run Credit for shunter

    For the Non run configured as 7 hrs 26 min, value of 6 hrs 51 min to be used for shunting crew (original designation Sr.Shunter / Shunter and not for crew officiating as shunter
  36. Port Sht to be redesignated

    Port Sht to be redesignated as Port Sht / EOL
  37. TA put back option

    Minutes drop down option now valid for 0 hrs (same as 1 hrs etc) Put back at present is allowed only 45 min before ordering time, same to be allowed 0 min before ordering time
  38. TA put back reason

    Additional field for reason for TA put back provided
  39. Display cadre

    Crew cadre (as entered in biodata) is now displayed in availability page
  40. No train in night

    Night LR to be considered if part of run is between sunset to sun rise Sep to Mar 17:30 to 06:30 Apr to Aug 18:00 to 06:00
  41. Abnormalty feedback

    Abnormality feedback Character limit to be increase from 25 to 150
  42. Crew availbility list

    Training not applicable with respect to a particular TA will not be shown in training due field in crew availbility list e.g.(route for ASIG, traction for REFE/REFD
  43. PDD form

    In PDD form a tool tip has been provided on TA no for display of crew attached on that TA
  44. Guard supervisor

    PILOT + PILOT + GUARD option provided
  45. Waiting duty in continuous run

    waiting duty mileage shall be included in total mileage before applying check for minimum gurantee section
  46. Coaching link fetch crew as per rule

    Following to be checked in addition to existing checks Automatic signalling Safety Camp
  47. Entering Sick Leave under the system Non-run

    At present Crew can be sent to following non run reason from System Non run Absent, CL, LAP, LHAP and REST SICK Leave also added to above list
  48. At the time of TA creation In case of MU, check for numeric in Loco No2 field

    In case of MU locos, while making the TA in the combo box provided for Loco No2 anything can be typed. It has been modified such that only numerical loco number can be typed. Applicable to both TA and manual
  49. edit option for non run cofiguration of Special CL

  50. In Link Crew Display change the format of total duty mins

    In Link Crew Display total duty hours appears in minutes only, the format changed to Hrs:Mins
  51. Speed Limit in caution order

    All values permitted on 'Speed limit' (Earlier multiple of 5) in caution order
  52. Non run to start from sign off+rest

    Earlier non run was starting from sing off+rest now in ver 3.9 it was decided that non run wil start from sign off only. Now the decision is that the time of non run wil be picked from a configuration file, which will give the time from which the non run has to start. If in the configuration file the value is sign off then non run will start from sign off and if the value is sign off+rest then the rewst hrs will be added to sing off time and then the non run from time will be decided. Rest all logics like 12 hrs rule will imply as it is.
  53. For ALP and Shunter grading will not be required

    For designations ALP,Sr. ALP,Shunter and Sr. Shunter grading will not be required. For all these crew the grading will be shown as NA(not applicable). Changes will be in the following forms. 1) Crew Biodata. 2) LI Grading 3) LI Counselling 4)Configuration Console Hence ALP, Sr. ALP,Shunter and Sr. Shunter can now be counselled without following any periodicity
  54. Rounding off duty hrs for rest calculation

    Currently the duty hrs of a crew is rounded off to the lower value always. Now the rounding logic will be as - a) <=30 mins wil be rounded off to the lower value b) >30 mins willl be rounded off to the higer value based on the rounding logic the rest hrs will be arrived at. But the actual duty hrs as such will not be rounded off. This rounding off will be only for the rest calculation. Logic based on duty hrs for rest calculation (Change in slab etc) will apply AFTER rounding off.
  55. No leave on NH

    CL cannot be availed on NH. If NH day is b/w the duration of the CL then it will be availed as CL-NH-CL.
  56. Display CUG no

    Application main page CUG no displayed once crew id is filled in search field

    Earlier routes were created based on historical data from FOIS database. Now at the time of creation of routes data is taken from live Route data from RBS. This is shown to CMS user for verification and editing of distances if required and save. User have option to add one station (Siding at both end).
