New Software Functionality in CMS ver 3.6.0
 

The CMS version 3.6.0, the release in Nov 2010 shall have the following features.

    Application
  1. Categorization of Asst. Loco Pilot to generate separate availability list of Asst. LP in respect of their services (i.e. goods, coaching) -

    In Lobby configuration console facility to segregate ALP in two group coaching and freight separately, so that ALP of that group is made available for booking for coaching and freight only.
    Lobby configuration console will have following option
    a). For using ALP in one single pool as per existing scheme.
    Or
    b)Using ALP in two separate pool i.e. coaching and freight.
    Once option (b) is selected then biodata is to be updated for ALP to be used for coaching or freight. Availability of Crew to be made from respective groups only for coaching and freight.
    Change in biodata permitted only if crew is at rest at his HQ only.
  2. Centralized updation of Caution Order -

    Centralisation updation of of caution order will be done at Divisional level for all lobbies of that division. Caution will now be updated in Divisional configuration. Each division control will feed all the caution imposed for a section. This will automatically be updated for all the lobby routes of that division only. If that section also happens to be part of lobby routes of other division it will not be updated till other division updates that section.
  3. Multiple leave entry -

    Multiple leave entry can be made when crew is brought back from non run. An option of multiple entry entry has been provided in the non run form.
  4. Officiating allowance (Booking of LM-16 holders to work Goods Trains) -

    Officiating Grade/designation will be entered in the crew biodata when a crew will be sent on officiating, Officiating is permitted for 30 days with approval of Branch officer, Reference of authority letter required to be entered into the system for permitting officiating. If a Goods crew has to be booked in coaching link, then crew should be put to officiating grade and then link him in the coaching link, similarly with the shunting roster . Officiating is based on 5th pay commission grades as rule for 6th pay commisssion grades is not available. For the existing case where a crew is already under officiating he has to be delinked from coaching link / shunting roaster and than relinked for CMS to calculate officiating allowance.
  5. Rest for Sister Lobby crew at HQ -

    When a Crew Sign Off at sister lobby, both the lobby main as well as the sister lobby will be treated as HQ lobby. The rest shall be HQ rest for the manual, as well as KIOSK sign OFF at HQ or sister lobby. Out station rest will be applicable for crew of lobbies other than "HQ and sister lobby".
  6. Double booking of Shunters in one calendar day in Shunting Roaster Module -

    Double booking of shunters has been provided. One day can be selected maximum two times. Only 7 day roster has to made.
  7. Display of availability of crew after leave -

    Crew should be available for working a train automatically after non run on the expected date and time, i.e. if is crew is on leave from 01.12.2010 to 3.12.2010 then his from date should be 01.12.2010 of 00.00 hrs and to date as 02.12.2010 of 23.59hrs then the crew will be availbe at 00.00 hrs of 03.12.2010 for booking. and if the leave has to extended beyond the date then entry should be made before 23.00 hrs.
  8. Accident allowance -

    Accident allowance to be given for working hrs => 8hrs due to train detention.
  9. Facility of editing in Sign off aproval -

    Till now supervisor was required to enter BA details only at the time of approval. He was not authorised for making any change in the sign off data. Supervisor can now edit the sign off data. At the time of sign off approval, he can direct TNC for manual entry entry but he will be required to give reason for marking him to manual and not giving approval straight away.
  10. Circular route enhancement -

    In the earlier version circular route was to be defined with fixed mileage and CMS application was not calculating mileage for circular routes as is the case for other routes. Now if fixed mileage is not given for circular route CMS application will calculate mileage as per existing mileage logic. in a route mileage will be calulated for last later appearance of a station if station is encountered twice. For eg for route A - B - C - D - E - C - A, if crew signs off at C mileage will be calculated for A - B - C - D - E - C.
  11. New Slate Module in addition to existing Freight, Coaching and Shunter module -

    Slate working is similar to the pattern of coaching links this system is only given to Munbai Division of CR . Trains works on fixed path on 24 hours, The Slot will be intimated to the crew at the time of sign off. Crew will come to the lobby as per slate slot and do the Slate Sign on first, then call will be served for a particular train and then he will be required to sign on again for departure.
  12. Facilty for Shunter search -

    Facilty for shunter status added as Shunter search.
  13. Facility for Average Mileage allowance (AMA) -

    If Crew works both in stationary duty and running duty mileage was given for both if stationary duty was not at HQ, now CMS is provides mileage for working as well as stationary duty at HQ.
  14. Mileage Report -

    Kilometer month is being rounded off to the nearest 50 Kms i.e
    (a) 1 <= Km < 24 = 0
    b) 25 <= Km < 74 = 50 Km
    c) 75 <= Km < 99 = 100 Km
  15. BOR Allowance correction -

    Breach of rest hours is getting calculated in the single rate. Doubling is to be done by P branch and will not happen automaticall in CMS.
  16. System Non Run for Shunter -

    Shunter can be sent to rest or non run.
    A book back option is given in the drop down menu of system non run. e.g. Due to network failure, if shunter is not able to sign On in CMS terminal he is sent to system non run. Facility has been provided to book him again on the same roaster by book back option provided in system non run by supervisor if he has actually performed the duty, verified by supervisor.
  17. Automatic allottment of Rest hours -

    Period of rest shall be decided by the system based of duty hrs of last run, after entering the run details, when option of calculate last continues duty is clicked, No of duty hrs will be calculated and displayed. User will give the rest Hrs as per displayed duty hrs. System will not accept '0' hrs rest.
  18. Rest modification form -

    Rest modification form at presen permit 22,30 hrs rest only. 44,and 60 hours values has been added in this form. Field for count of rest for 22 hrs and for 30 hrs rest availed in the monthly slot has been added. 44 hrs rest and 60 hrs rest shall be counted as 2 nos of 22 hrs rest and 30 hrs rest respectively.
  19. Zero mileage type -

    If running staff are reporting sick enroute, and returning to HQ , pilot KM is generated by CMS,
    Another duty type (0 mileage), with 0 mileage and 0 duty hrs been added to bring back such crew to HQ. Provision for this duty type has also been added in TA with facility for entering it manual crew movement detail.
  20. New Alerts -

    Coaching:
    Incoming train no will be displayed when option for OS crew on rest and crew rest at OS is selected.
    Crew current status and last sign off date and time. (This has been providedd for shunters also)
    Freight:
    Under manual sign off list of crew whos has signed off manually.
  21. Drop down menus for repoting Abnormality -

    Driver is given tab for 8 categories. (OHE, ENGG, S and T, C and W, SECURITY, TRAFFIC, LOCO,COMMERCIAL). Once a tab is selected he is given drop down menu to select type of abnormality. He is required to enter km and time of abnormality only. If required he has the option to supplement the abnormality throgh text entry as is at present.
  22. Facility to change / add loco no at sign off -

    Loco pilot can now edit / add loco no at the time of Sign OFF. If the loco no edited is different from the loco no at the time of TA creation it will be highlighted in different colour at the time of Sign OFF approval.
  23. Regaining of old ID -

    Crew if transferrred to another lobby in temporary transfer will regain his old ID once he comes back to parent lobby. In case crew is repeatedly transferred to same lobby temporarily (e.g. shunter as per requirement) he will use same ID as allotted to him during first transfer.
