New Software Functionality in CMS ver 3.10.0

The CMS version 3.10.0, the release in Apr - 2013 shall have the following features.

    Application

  1. Roster for non run

    Crew can be sent to Non Run from Supervisor console by two functions
    1 To Non Run: For all Non Run Types other than Roster Non Run (e.g. Training, Medical)
    Scheme: Same as existing except now Non Run Reason can be configured independently instead of groups
    2 To Roster Non Run: For Non Run Reasons, a) SHDT, b) CPRC, c) CTCC, d) CTLC, e) PCR, f) STDTO, g) STDTW, h) TCC, I) TLC .
    Scheme:
    A) Crew to be sent to Roster type Non Run with following additional data. Even the crew which has been made drafted from Biodata will be available on this page for sending to and bringing back from non run.
    a) Start / end of shift (6 rows can be configured one for each day)
    b) Applicable days for a particular shift
    c) Weekly off
    B) Roster detail can be viewed and edited (till crew is brought back from Non Run) from two forms
    a) Daily Detail
    b) Crew Detail
    The above two forms are pre populated with shift details configured in To Roster Non Run. Mileage will be calculated based on the current roster as edited in either of the two forms. Editing will not have any effect on the data in To Roster Non Run Values. There may be difference in mileage printed out earlier before editing of roster.
    Mileage will now account for
    Night duty hours based on shift, In case of shift spannin two days mileage will be shown for the day when shift starts for that shift.
    There can be two shifts on the same day
    NOTE: Above is under testing and will be available by 15-05-2013
  2. Lobby configuration for unified role of supervisor and TNC

    1) Following new CMS role created
    a) UNI(SUP+TNC) for Loco
    b) UNI(SUP+TNC) for Guard
    c) UNI(SUP+TNC) for Loco and Guard
    2)New Home page for each new role above with the switching option between SUP and TNC (and also for Guard and Loco in case of 'c' above)
    3) There willl be a click option for SUP and TNC for selecting relevant role. On click the corresponding funtion list will be displayed and the login will start behaving as for that clicked role. 4) Corresponding home page alerts and functionality will be available for the role selected ( as is the case of SUP or TNC) 5) All the fuctionalities will behave exactly the way these are behaving now with the caption as SUP or TNC as the case be.
  3. Non Run from Out Station

    Following non run reason are permitted for crew at OS if crew is in rest through an additional option in non run form DARE, DEQY, ENQ, OPME, PDTR, NTB, CL, IOD, LAP, LHAP, SL Once sent on non run control of crew will shift to HQ lobby
  4. New duty type for shunter

    A new DUTY TYPE for Km completion / Handling added in Freight console for booking of crew for completing Km. Mileage shall be paid as per LR duty type.
    Checks for km completion aresame as LR Checks
    Crew types permitted against this duty type are,
    1 ALP,
    2 Shunter.
    3 LPG
  5. Spare mileage in case of temporary transfer

    In the current system Crew is given 70km perday in case of temp transfer. Now crew will be given additional mileage for spare working between the base lobby and temp transfered lobby once for going and once for coming back. Flow is as follows In the transfer acceptance form sup will have new check for confirmation of spare mileage and once selected this spare mileage will be added in the mileage statement of accepting lobby. Drop down menu indicating possible routes between the two points will be displayed. Once a route is selected mileage will be given as spare mileage for that route. An additional option in route for zero mileage will also be displayed in drop down menu. This is not applicable to permanent transfer. Note - this will apply to all crew type under temp transfer.
  6. Independent non run groups

    Presently non run reasons are classified in 10 groups. Only Groups can be conigured independently, All non run reason in a group have same configuration. Now non run reasons have been made independent of groups. Each non run reason can be configured independently. Facility to configure / edit non reason in batches for quick data entry has also been provided
  7. Pairing of LP and ALP

    For OS Crew Crew Alert (available on clicking on crew id) will also display the ALP name and id of the matching crew If crew as suggested above is selected from the ALP list, it will not be treated as rule violation if reason is given as pairing from drop down menu. ALP will be suggested based on booking in the TA)
  8. Deactivate user id

    Divisional console has been provided with the facility to deactivate CMS user id
  9. revised designation

    Only following standard designations to be used across the application and report

  10. Route to be shown at Multiple Lobbies (More than 2)

    Currently a route created by one lobby can be made visible in 1 more lobby. Now the facility has been extended to display the route in 5 lobbies max)
  11. LR not updated in system for shunter

    Shunting roster does not have any check for LR. For LR, If roster is operated LR for yard will be updated accordingly. LR due date will be updated with same frequency as other crew types
  12. Coaching link table

    In coaching link table following data is also displayed, so that the crew can be linked easily in addition of name of the crew,
    1. From station,
    2. To station
    3. Date
    4. Train no (current train for sign on crew, next train for crew in rest or sign off)
  13. New grade type

    A new grade type VI has been added
    A = 3 years
    B = 2 years
    C = 1 year
    A new category D also added
    No periodicity for category D (Table to indicate NA)
    At present Crew in category D will be displayed in availability list, an alert You are booking D category crew
  14. day detail

    day detail (report format) has also been made available on coaching console for better planning
  15. Recording the date of medical

    At the time of biodata creation user will be given the facility to record the initial medical (prior to appointment) date of the crew at the time of his/her recruitment
  16. MEMU and DMU additonal requirement

    In CMS 3.9 following where incorporated In Fetch crew by Rule Following were not checked,
    Service Type NO check for

    Mandatory trainings to be checked in lieu of above are as under
    Service Type check for Periodicty

  17. Non run to start from sign off+rest

    Now the decision is that the time of non run wil be picked from a configuration file, which will give the time from which the non run has to start.
    i.e. option A: Available time ( 'Sign OFF + Rest')
    option B: Sign OFF time
    In case of leave If above time is
    <12:00 hrs leave on the same day
    > 12:00 hrs leave from next day
    Exception:
    For Shunter the value is Sign OFF only in both the options
    Clarification-its done for all crew whose original i.e parent designation is either shunter or sr. shunter. Note- The configuration facility is available at the CMS level rather than the lobby level. As per existing rules Option A is being used for all the lobbies. It can be changed to option B if required and permitted by Railway Board.
  18. Multi Non Run -SMS

    At the time of sending crew on multiple non run SMS is to be sent. sms will be sent at the time of planning.
  19. Multiple non run run on same day

    problem: Crew has performed stationary duty which finished before 12:00 hrs, and was granted leave for the same day, since leave time starts by default at 00:00 hrs, this has two issues 1. Start time of second non run is before end time of first non run
    2. Mileage shall be for which non run
    Scheme
    1. Two non runs on the same day can not be tackled through multiple non run
    2. For all such cases crew is to be brought out of first non run and then sent on second non run
    3. All type of leaves (group 10) can be permitted on the same day of first non run provided first non run is over before 12:00 hrs
    4. Particular Non run for reasons (earlier group 4, 8, 9) can be followed by non run of group 4, 8, 9
    5. Allowance will be for first row non run if admissible for both rows
  20. Departmental in TA for guard

    New option of Deratmental given in TA for guard as well. Presently this feature is available for Loco pilots only. This is added as new service type for Guard also Service type departmental to be shown in Freight module only. Rest logics to calculate mileage will remain same as in case of loco pilots i.e. Hrs of duty (rounded OFF- Rule2) x 20 subjected to maximum of 200 kMs
  21. Additional information for abnormality reporting and Abnormality Reporting through supervisor console

    Presently abnormality reporting is done by crew in three situation At the time of
    1 Sign OFF
    2 Sign ON
    3 Rest
    Journey particulars against which abnormality should be rocorded are available in case of Sign OFF only Following additional fields provided on abnormality reporting page FROM, TO, Date of start of journey, Crew ID, TA
    In addition to above new function has been added in supervisor console for reporting abnormality by supervisor on behalf of crew
    In case of sign OFF these fields will be pre poulated
    In case of Sign ON, Rest, or supervisor these field will be filled by crew / supervisor to fetch the matching TA
    In case no matching TA is found abnormality will be allowed to be reported with remark No matching TA found
    If two matching TA are found both shall be displayed with option to click on required TA
    In reports following fields against each abnormality to be added FROM, TO, DT of Journey, Loco no,
  22. BA positive -SMS

    In case of positive BA value a SMS will be send to preconfigured nos. For this 1) Facility has been provided for configuring SMS group for BA positive cases 2) SMS wil be sent to the above configured group in case of positive BA value..... 3) This has been done for both Sign off and Sign on
  23. BA device resetting

    In case of positive BA value the IP of the BA device will be tracked and locked for further action for 5 mins, so that the BA device is again ready for revalidation of BA. 1) Every BA postitive value will trigger a danger page (red in color with danger sign) for that session and this danger page will hold for 5 mins. 2) after 5 mins the above page will disaapear and a normal CMS crew login page will appear.
  24. Abnormality reporting for signal and traffic

    new abnormality drop downs for S and T and traffic has been incorporated and the present two level abnormality reporting design has been extended to three level
  25. Alert for expiry of officiating

    Crew information on tool tip at the time of booking to include expiry date of officiating status. For crew who is not authorised to officiate, NA shall be written in place of expiry date
  26. PR as per logic

    Alert to supervisor for PR is given for the following cases at present
    1. Working on 7 consecutive days withot any PR
    2. Working on 3 consecutive days in night (2200hrs to 0600hrs)
    Additional alert provided for
    3. Progressive hours working > 54 hrs (alert point) since last PR and total progressive hrs of the fortnight (additional information)
    Alert is given in the form of
    1 Last PR is shown in red colour in the supervisor approval form for sign off. if PR is due.
    2 Pop up message in case of Crew movement detail (manual entry) just after fetching the crew for manual data entry.
    3 Pop up indicates the reason from the above three for alert.
  27. Display cadre with crew name

    In the application where ever crew name is being displayed crew cadre shall also be displayed To begin with this facilty is availble in Crew availability page Rest modification page
  28. Additional field in Crew Biodata Bill Unit name Aadhaar no

    Crew Biodata - others - new field for bill unit (alpha numeric, 5 char) This field will also be added in all mileage related reports Crew Biodata - others - new field for Aadhaar no (numeric,12 char)
  29. Mobile on journey

    Crew will be required to declare the details of the personal mobile he is carrying while on the run. 1) In the bio data existing mobile no field is redsignated as mobile no (CUG). Additional Fields for mobile no (pers.) and Operator(Subscriber) added. 2) Crew will be asked if he is carrying a personal mobile and if yes his personal mobile no and Operator as per available record will be displayed which can be changed by crew if required. at the time of sing on. 3) If crew feeds a new no or changes the existing no , this new number and Operator will be updated in his biodata as well. 3) At the time of signoff crew will be required to acknowledge if he has used the mobile, if yes he will be asked to give reason for it. An additional field for mobile no (pers) with values as Y/N will be displayed in the supervisor sign ON /OFF approval form. These changes will be applicable in Sign On ,Sign Off ,Crew movement details of Freight,Coaching,shunting and Slate module .
  30. crew monitoring screen of LI console

    In the present system crew monitoring screen of LI role has following information-
    1) Crew Id
    2) Crew Name
    3) Last Grade
    4) Last Grading date
    In addition to these following has been added
    1) Crew type
    2) Last counselling date
    Since shunters and ALP in the present system are counselled only and not graded, hence for shunters and ALP, NA will be shown in place of NOT MONITORED in the Last Grade column .
  31. For TA Duty type LR in Fetch crew as per rule option LR is not to be checked

    In the current system for option fetch crew as per rule all mandatory and optional refreshers/trainings are checked irrespective of duty type. Now For TA Duty type LR in Fetch crew as per rule option LR will not to be checked
  32. Day detail for 48 hrs

    Currently day detail is for 24 hrs. Provison for day detail upto 48 hrs has been provided. Application will continue to dispaly day detail for 24 hrs only Report will show day detail for 48 hrs.
  33. Mileage for back date

    User can request CRIS Admin for recalculation of mileage for a particular crew with the same run detals if mileage is found to be calculated incorrectly by the system Admin user has to give valid reason for doing so and this userid and reason will be recorded as well. Changes in run details for mileage calculation will not be entertained
  34. Swapping of crew in link

    Swapping of crew between coaching link without the need to delink the crew has been provided Flow is as under crew (A) is to be changed from link 1 to crew (B) of link 2 Open link 1 de select the crew (A) in link 1 select the crew (B) in link 2 and save Crew B will appear in link 1 and not in link 2 (not happening now because he appears in link 2 as well) Crew A will start appearing in link 2 in place of crew (B) (right now this requires doing it manaualy again by opening link 2)
  35. drop down for rule violation

    Standard reasons have been provided for rule violation These reason will come in drop down menu in TA order violation Crew order violation In addition facility to feed new text other than reasons in drop down to continue
  36. Registered status of Mobile while Booking of Crew

    Status of Crew for Mobile Registration to CMS (8860622020), to be shown while crew booked through SMS (Presently two status can be shown ie Y/N)
  37. permission to sign ON on behalf of crew

    In many cases when lobby is not having connectivity due to network or application issue crew is required to sign ON manually and proceed for journey. How ever lobby has to complete the sign ON on behalf of crew to complete the application flow as crew can not sign OFF at destination till his Sign ON from starting point is complete. To authorise lobby to sign ON for crew following facility has been provided: Once crew goes to system late for any reason and is booked on same TA, a new form will be given to supervisor sign ON for crew Supervisor will be asked to confirm the following for sign ON to take place please confirm the following
    1 crew has read the circular
    2 crew is carrying glasses
    3 crew has passed the BA test
    4 Crew is carrying personal mobile (if yes, give the no and service provider)
    5 Reason for sign ON by supervisor
    6 I take the reponsibility for crew sign ON
    Form will diplay all other fields being displayed on Kiosk at the time of sign ON
    This sign ON will automatically mean sign ON approval
  38. Highlight crew due for LR

    In crew availability highlight crew which is due for LR on the route in the next 7 days. If this highlighted crew is selected for booking with rule violation FOR LR then it will not be treated as rule violation. These rule violation allthouhg will get recorded int he system
  39. officiating in manual

    Officiating mileage is given if
    a) Bio data status is officiating
    b) service type (crew type) is higher
    Earlier in manual a check box for officiating was given which has a default value as NO, if check box is NO and condition a and b are satisfied even then officiating was not given Now the check has been removed from manual and officiating is given checking condition a and b only in manual sign off similar to kiosk sign off Scheme for officiating in manual:
    1. Crew designation (on top) will be original designation
    2. Service type will list only those service type permitted as per his original and officiating status (from Biodata)
    3. Additional field for working designation
    4. working designation will be editable for ALP (if he is permitted off in biodata)
    5. working designation will be read only for all other crew type depending on service type and biodata status
    6. In case of associate crew the ALP will get officiating if primary crew is booked as officiating and secondary crew biodata permits officiating
    NOTE: update associate crew is not permitted for following:
    1 If Any of the crew is in officiating status
    2 If primary crew is ALP or SALP
  40. CMS - FOIS Integration

  41. Loco Arrival/Departure time of FOIS

    Presently train running information for freight trains with respect to a particular lobby (Last 5 station timing for trains approching the lobby in next 6 hrs as per FOIS data) was displayed PDD and PAD form now display Dep / Arr time for loco on which crew has signed ON or Signed OFF from FOIS in addition to Arr / Dep filled by supervisor. PDD/PAD is calculated wrt FOIS data as well as Supervisor filled data.
  42. Crew Data to FOIS

    CMS now send to the FOIS applicaion Crew details along with journey details related to the Crew SignOn and SignOff happening in CMS application through web service. This data will be used in FOIS for attaching crew to the Load.
