NCMS lobby or Non Crew Management System Lobby is a lobby which is primarly aimed at Entering th refrential data of CMS like Crew Bio Data, Loco Inspector bio data etc. Refer the section Overview >> Configure a lobby for more informations.
Ensure that you have a proper FOIS connection with a PC with preferably mozilla fire fox installed on it as default browser at the Lobby desiring to enter the data into the CMS system.
- Obtain an IP address from CMS Control Center (C3) contact number 7217709646, 011-26886120. Railway Number 54824.
- Insert the following setting of the network configuration in your TCP/IP settings
- IP address as already circulated or confirmed by CRIS in point 2.
- Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
- Default Gateway Shall be given by the Telecom department of Railways.
- In case of problems in configure your PC with the IP address contact C3 for voice support and configuring your PC.
- Do pinging of network by going to start -> Run enter and press OK
- Short normal pinging. ping 10.60.200.168. If time < 75 ms network is good.
Continuous extensive regular pinging. ping 10.60.200.168 -t. If time < 75 ms network is good.
Short extensive pinging. ping 10.60.200.168 –l 1000.If time < 170 ms network is good.
Continuous extensive regular pinging. ping 10.60.200.168 – l 1000 -t. If time < 170 ms network is good.
- Confirm the ping results to C3.
- Enter address http:// 10.60.200.168/ and press enter.
- Enter address http:// 10.60.200.168/CMSHELP to go to the CMS introduction and support website. Read the instructions on the CMSHELP website for further action.
- Obtain a letter from DRM of your division for nomination of one configuration manager for CMS or the super user and come to CRIS for 2 day support training for the super user with prior appointment. These super users shall be one per lobby and shall come prepared for making routes and yards of their sections.
- Configure the fire fox explorer as per the voice assistance of C3 for best result of CMS software.
- Open the fire fox from start -> program ->
- Enter the following in the address bar http:// 10.60.200.168/CMS
- Crew management system User Login screen shall open.
- Enter User name and password as given by CRIS to into CMS system.
- Consult you assigned CORE Implementer for further guidance within the CMS software.
