Changing Routes

It has been found that the routes made in CMS system are in few cases having variance from what is there in a working time table. It has also been found during the sample tests and checks that even the WTT is some times not updated as per the IRCA standard. So for streamlining the CMS route corrections procedure the following shall be the steps which are required to be undertaken. This procedure is brought out for the purpose of clarity to all the CMS users regarding the procedure for making a change in the routes

  1. In case a Station name exists but there is an inter-station distance mismatch, or there is change in L.R. section, handicaped section, then the same shall be advised to CRIS by taking a printout of the route details and cutting the kms and righting over it the actual corrections required. All such corrections shall be signed by a branch officers and a copy of the relevant page of the WTT shall be enclosed for the purpose of confirmation. On receipt of this information and Approval of GM-P-III the same shall be corrected in the CMS database by Amit Saxena SE.
  2. In case of Addition, Deletion, Change in the station code the same shall not be incorporated by CRIS even if it exists in the WTT. For all such changes a letter from CCM shall be required along with reasons if any for incorporating the change. All such changes shall be required to be approved by GGM/FOIS before incorporating the changes in CMS database, since they are IRCA approved codes.
  3. In case a route is required and the same is not available in the database due to gauge conversion, new lines opened the same shall be examined by CRIS and in case the railways have provided sufficient information for the same to be incorporated in the FOIS database the same shall be released for CMS. In case the information is not available a letter shall be required from COM, CCM of the Zonal railways addressed to GGM / FOIS / CRIS for incorporating such database in the FOIS system and in turns release to CMS.

All users of CMS system must ensure that there routes are properly taken care before they make a request for converting a NCMS lobby to CMS lobby.
