The time of departure of the train is to be entered into the CMS system with correct train numbers and the loco numbers. This activity is to be done by the supervisor on departure of the train. Based on the difference between the Train departure times and the crew sign ON times the PDD is calculated by the system.

A doubt has been raised by some users that it should be the difference of time between the booked departure and the actual train departure. What shall happen if the crew turned up late from the booked departure? So CMS is presently using the actual sign ON time i.e.

• Booked departure time if the crew came earlier (SIGN ON time).
• Actual sign ON time if the crew came later then the Booked Departure time (SIGN ON time)
