Manual Data Entry
Manual Data Entry | Continuous duty | Validation checks | Update associate crew |

In case crew has not done the specified journey as specified to him while signing ON, or he is offered a screen that has different train numbers as mentioned to him while signing OFF or when the crew does some additional work between the Sign ON and the Sign OFF then the crew should not sign OFF but should submitt the details of his journey to the booking clerk for entering into the system.

Manual Data Entry

The clerk (TNC) can tackle a crew with Manual data entry if the crew has not signed OFF through manual data entry. This is resorted to if the crew does not perform the nominated journey as mentioned in the Train Advise. All such TA which have not been closed i.e. crew has not signed OFF can be tackled through manual data entry. The Crew ID is entered then the last valid TA of the crew is displayed. The modifications to the TA can be done by entering the actual work performed by the crew, in one or multiple runs.

Continuous Duty

For difference in time < 1Hrs between the Sign OFF and the Sign ON the system recognizes the movement as a continuous duty. For such cases the rest is treated by the system as zero and the journey is considered to be in continuation to the previous journey.

Validation Checks

Validation checks are available in the system to enable users to do correct data entry and errors are not generated by the system. These checks are :-

  • Check between the sign ON and Sign OFF of the same run
  • Check between sign OFF and Sign ON time of different runs.
  • Check so that the first entry in the manual form is not prior to the train ordering time.
  • Check that the last station entered in the system is a lobby location from where the data is being entered.

Update associate crew

In case the Driver and the assistant have performed the same run then their data can be updated together if the update associate crew is selected. At present update guard is not available since the 2 carders and control remain uniquely distinct
