The calculation process being used is made available to all so as to make more user examine and acess the document for corrective actions. The process is for calculating the running allowance of freight, coaching and Shunting for all category of running staff i.e. drivers, guards, asst drivers, Shunters (TCC, TNC, CTCC, LF, CRC, LS are excluded). The scope includes Diesel, Electrical Traction (Excl Steam) and includes all types of gauges in prevalent on I.R. The scope included documenting all the running allowances upto kms and Hrs. (Rs calculations not in this scope)

In case a train is banked then the user shall make 2 TA one for BNKR and one for BNKD to get the banker mileage. In case a banker is working on a section without banking a train then it is called a light engine movement the user shall accordingly make the TA.

Rule 1 Applicable for Freight services normal.

Rule 3 Coaching Allowances The kms actual run shall be payable subjected to the minimum limits as below

Rule 4 Ghat section allowance

In case the section is nominated as ghat section the allowance shall be admissible in terms of times (multiply) and the actual length of the ghat section + the actual working as per the service and TA type for cases of working duty type.

Ghat section is not admissible for any other duty type except WR.

Mimum Guranteed kms (Rule 5)

In case the section is nominated as minimum guaranteed section the allowance shall be minimum 120 Km “OR” the actual working as per the service and TA type in case of freight, working duty type. The check of minimum guaranteed shall be made after clubbing all possible continuous duties.

Continuous duty

If case a crew signs ON within 1 Hrs of his last Sign OFF to work a train, then his duty is treated as continuous to his pervious duty. All such multiple running made by the crew shall be grouped on the basis of service type, TA type and duty type for the purpose of incentive calculation, max limit calculation and the individual calculations added together.

Rounding OFF the kms

Mileage earned by the crew for a particular month as above will be rounded off as per the logic below -
1 to 24                          0Kms                Like 323 Km  rounded OFF shall become 300 Km
25 to 74                        50km                Like 367 Km  rounded OFF shall become 350 Km
75 to 99                        100km              Like 377 Km  rounded OFF shall become 400 Km
