The crew BIO-DATA can be created / edited in 2 ways

The supervisor shall enter details of the crew like HQ, Id, PF, No, Seniority No, Name, Father’s Name, Designation, Permanent P&T No, Serving P&T No, Serving Rly No, Mobile No, Promotion Date, Scale, Call Serving Address, Permanent Address, Educational Qualification, Appointment Date, Appointment Post, Blood Group, Vision, Alcohol, Last Incr. Basic, Incr. Due Date, Birth Date, Officiating Date, Inactive Status, Inactive Reason. This information will get store in Database. Editing of existing data, Viewing the details is done through Crew Bio data form search and select crew option. The new crew ID is generated by the system itself when a new crew ID is saved. Name of the crew is not editable for Crew Bio-data since the p.f. numbers are optional (Not standardized on I. R. and hence not unique)

The designations and Grades as per new procedure need not be entered at the time of making the bio data. The LI whenever grades the crew information gets displayed in the bio data field

The designations and Grades are related. For every designation pressing go button displays the grades. Similarly for the crew monitoring once the grade has been selected, the done date entered by clicking the calendar and tab has to be pressed on the done date to display due date.

The BIO Data has to remain active in order to make use of the crew in CMS system. In case the crew has been made inactive due to reasons like retirement, death, Transfer. The crew can not be used in the CMS system. Also such crew ID’s do not appear in the CMS system. There is also an option for Temporary inactive for cases like duties of CTCC, TCC etc. such crew can be made active again by the CMS user.

For a particular lobby only one crew name and one father name has been made as the criteria for uniqueness since the p.f. numbers are not unique on I. R. In case a crew with the same father name is attempted by the system the CMS shall not allow. The system shall not allow them to be changed once they have been entered into the system by the user.

Whenever a crew is promoted from Asst, Sr Asst to goods driver the traction field gets deleted. User gets a popup to correct the traction entry.

The BIO Data has a number of tabs like Others, Test and Training, Loco competency and Yard learning

Others

In the others tab of the bio data particulars like blood group, Family particulars, Spectacles, Marital Status, Gender, Awards and reprimands etc can be entered and also can be deleted. Also records of Permanent Address of the employee and the phone number of the place of permanent residence can be entered her. This facilitates the user in keeping a watch on the crew information in this particular category.

Test and Training

The Supervisor has powers to enter Test and  Training Details. He will enter the Done Date and CMS system will give the Due Dates itself. For some specified training code the system will update more than one training. Like a training Traffic / Elect refreshes combined shall update 2 records from Traffic as well as Electrical.

The training locations appearing in the combo shall have to be initially configured from the configuration console. The list of training locations configured from the configuration manager menu shall appear in the combo list only. In case the training locations are not configured the comb may appear to be without data and may give errors.

Loco Competency

Loco supervisor can enter his Loco Competency Details. The following need to be entered :-

The due date is calculated by the system itself. The Loco groups have been standardized by the CORE group. For example WAG5/WAG7 are in the same group. One time the Loco Groups have to be entered as a on time exercise. In future whenever the crew drive the group the CMS system shall itself update the details once the crew has signed OFF and supervisor has approved his journey.

If a traction is updated from crew BIO DATA then such crew shall be available in the list of crew for fetch crew all. Once the crew has run on the system and the competency of the crew has gone into the system (i.e. when crew has signed OFF into the CMS system) the such crew shall appear in the fetch crew all.

Yard LR

Based on the yards made the L. R. is automatically updated when the shunter runs in a particular yard. Also provision is available to manually update the LR for the yard by going the Yard LR tab of the BIO Data. In case of Guard booking this tab shall not be visible.

Learning Road

Based on the routes made the L. R. is automatically updated when the crew runs on a particular section. ALso provision is available to manually update the LR by going the LR tab of the BIO Data

Making Crew Inactive

A crew can be made inactive due to superannuating, retirement, transfer, death reason, voluntary retirement, promotion, removal, dismissal, death, Permanent de categorized etc. For the purpose the BIO Data has an inactive option available. This can be used as follows

• For reasons like retirement, death, left job the crew can be made inactive without reverting back. Reverting back is allowed by C3.
• For reasons like transfer the system prompts for a lobby where the crew has been transferred. Once the transfer ha been accepted the crew becomes inactive at the base lobby.
• Temporary inactive is used for temporary inactivating the crew and transferring him to a new lobby. such crew continue to appear in the bio data but do not appear in the availability list of that lobby. The base lobby can activate him once he resumes duty at his parent lobby.

Automatic Signaling

The automatic signaling which was earlier becoming due in 6 months has now been made due in one year. Whenever the crew shall come for his next Automatic Signaling counseling the period shall be updated with 1 year.
